To begin with, you can sign up for a free membership to Sands Rewards LifeStyle. This brand new lifestyle loyalty program rewards members with offers and special privileges. For instance, the Prosperity with Style promotion will be giving away $500,000 worth of “destination dollars” to 400 winners from January 17 to February 10, 2013. Every Thursday to Sunday evening, there will be 25 lucky winners drawn hourly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the concierge on Galleria Level, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. For the Members of Sand Rewards Lifestyle, every swipe of the membership card at any Sands Rewards LifeStyle kiosk entitles you to 10 free entries. Members can also make their way up to earn an Elite membership status to receive more exclusive offers.

However, you do not have to hold a membership to be able to enjoy great treats. Throughout Chinese New Year, all 300 boutiques and restaurants at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands will be operating as usual from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays to Thursdays and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. 70 retailers will be slashing off up to half of the prices for their products. Nine West and Steve Madden, for example, let you save up to 50 per cent when you spend on their shoes and accessories in the whole month of February. Spend at least $200 on hair care or skin and body products from Urbanhair Marina and you will be entitled to an intensive hair treatment at only $58 (usually $348) or a stress fix massage at only $48 (usually $178). DeGem jewelry is also offering shoppers 40 per cent off their intricate jade pieces from January 17 to February 24, making it the perfect time for you to get your hands on some sparkle and gem.

The team at Jin Shan led by Renowned Master Chef Huang have created seven different dinner set menus that will showcase the best of Cantonese, Hunan and Szechuan flavours. Each dish is given its own unique, auspicious name and they will be available to diners throughout all 15 days of the Lunar New Year, from $128++ per person.

Visitors to the ArtScience Museum both young and old can enjoy three exceptional exhibitions: The Art of The Brick, Fujians: The Blue Ocean Legacy and Outside In: A Magnum Photos Showcase. Through these exhibitions, you can also take part in various workshops where you can learn interesting things such as creating your own Fujian coin, ceramic ware or photographic images without a camera. The retail store at ArtScience Museum will also be bringing in a new range of merchandise specifically created for the spring festival.
